Transferring To An Extension From Voice Mail

Overview

If you find yourself logged into your voice mailbox or connected to another Saint Peter’s mailbox and wanting to call another extension, you do not have to log off or hang up.  Instead you can transfer to the extension from voice mail.  This is particularly convenient if you are calling from a non Saint Peter’s phone.  You will not have to dial the full phone number and incur an additional cost.  The following are the steps to perform.

To transfer to an extension from voice mail:

1. Dial *8 from any point in a voice mail session (you do not have to be logged into your voice mailbox. The transfer will work if you are connected to another Saint Peter’s user’s mailbox).
2. Enter extension of recipient and press # (extension has to be that of a person with a voice mailbox on the system).
